Images/ photos are protected by copyright. This also applies to images that may appear “simple”. An image does not need to be artistic to have copyright protection. Remember that just because an image has been published online or is available in some other way, it does not mean that you have the right to use it without permission. A photo is usually owned by the photographer but it may also be owned by someone else.
Stolen product image
If another merchant has used your copyright protected product images without your permission, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that in order to submit a notification, you must be the actual rights holder.
Notifications of stolen product images must contain the following:
- The product number of your own ad and the ad that infringes the copyright
- A clear description why the product image infringes your intellectual property rights
- Proof that you as a merchant own the exclusive rights of the image(s)
If two merchants are claiming ownership of the same image, we will connect you via email to solve the issue on your own outside of Fyndiq. This means you agree on giving your email address to the other merchant.
Please note that you have to submit all the above information and necessary documents from the beginning, otherwise the matter will not be handled.
