To have in mind when categorizing
It is required to set at least one category when uploading an article. When you categorize your articles, be sure to place them in as detailed (deep down) in the category tree as possible. It makes it easier for customers to find the right article.
If you have an article that does not fit into any category, put it in the nearest relevant category on the level above, the “parent category”. For example, if your articles are for a new Nokia model for which there is not yet any category, we want you to categorize them as “Nokia Accessories”. We add suitable new categories as soon as there are an adequate number of articles of a certain type.
How are the articles categorized?
You can categorize your articles through Fyndiq's Merchant Center or through your integration.
Properties helps the customers
Remember also to tag articles with properties. They are used to allow customers to filter on different colours, materials, motifs, patterns and sizes when they are looking for a bargain on the site. You can easily add properties in the article editor when you create a new product advertisement, it is also possible to back and tag already uploaded articles with suitable properties. It should also be possible to manage article properties through your integration.
If you would like to see a category or feature for filtering on Fyndiq, write to email@example.com.
